Chemical Earthing Electrode Chemical earthing is an earthing in which we use chemical powder instead of salt and coal. Chemical earthing is maintenance free earthing In any ordinary earthing, salt and coal are placed on top of the electrode. When the chemical earthing, the chemical powder is placed over the electrode. Two types of powders are used in chemical earthing. One is Carbon powder and the other is Bentonite powder. Carbon powder is black in color while bentonite powder is brown in color.
