WHAT IS CHEMICAL EARTHING ELECTRODE

Chemical Earthing Electrode

Chemical earthing is an earthing in which we use chemical powder instead of salt and coal. Chemical earthing is maintenance free earthing In any ordinary earthing, salt and coal are placed on top of the electrode. When the chemical earthing, the chemical powder is placed over the electrode. Two types of powders are used in chemical earthing. One is Carbon powder and the other is Bentonite powder. Carbon powder is black in color while bentonite powder is brown in color.

Type of Chemical Earthing

1) Galvanized Iron Earthing Pipe

2)  Pure Copper Earthing Electrode

3)  Copper Bonded Earthing Rod

1) Why Galvanized Iron Earthing Pipe:

Because of its electrical characteristics and reasonably low price, galvanized iron also can be considered as an alternative to copper as a grounding material. In this paper, evaluation is being done in order to verify the performance of stranded galvanized iron as grounding network.

2)  Pure Copper Earthing Electrode

Copper Earthing Electrode is a kind of Earthing, which is required for all kinds of electrical engineering maintenance. Thus, it is effectively used for ensuring safety while giving protection to human life, machine, appliance and equipment

3) Copper Bonded Earthing Rod

Copper-bonded ground rods have a high carbon steel core that is suitable for deep driving. A layer of nickel and then a coating of copper is electroplated on the steel core to provide corrosion protection This coating is not subject to the risk of bending or cracking.
